I cannot believe is been so long since I wrote anything. Well I was selected to exhibit in Coventry Coombe Abbey country Park in August. I was very excited as this was the first time I have been selected of anything.

I created 10 Wildlife Stacks like in New Ferry Butterfly Park. My Darling Husband helping me collect and drive 120 bricks from Wrexham to Coventry. I reclaimed all the materials used. This project is getting important to me. Creating homes for all the local insects and small animals..

Since then I have been trying to write my Dissertation and create a new body of work. But not getting far. My Mother-in-law been very poorly over the summer. I found it difficult to inconsiderate on my work as it does not seem important with the bigger picture....

Booked a week off work and booked a studio space in University to get down to some Art work. it was good to have a complete week of doing my work, but I realised how much work I got to do.

Open Studio Oswestry 2010

Went to my first open studio today from BVA art group. As I live quite far out I decide to show my work with an Glass Artist Racheal Montgomery. It was a good day I was surprised how many come to the studios.
I have not done this before, so was not sure want to expert... The other artists had things to sell etc .. I need to start to market myself better. May be by next weekend I could make some cards too sell.

I put up an installation in Rachael's garden, I base it on the Eternal Knot..
once again using one continues thread, I enjoy doing this in the garden
working with nature. Love the way the pink flowers work with the
white thread...

I have realised I have not poster anything about my Crosby Beach Project in January. I was a great day but very wet and cold.

I did not realise want a good day it would be and how many great friends I have got.

I enjoyed talking to the people that were just walking on the beach etc. Explaining want we were doing and why all the bricks are on that beach.
My Family were ace by collecting over 500 bricks. Each Brick Castle is 1 year since World War Two ended. Lots of poeple lost their homes and work place in the War.
The Installation title is 'Everyone's Home is Their Castle'
