Had space in college this week. Working out ideas how I can controlnatural light. How can I get the shadows I like, I have done quite a few installation and the natural light and the blinds cast some greatlight.
Just need to research how I can do this, I do like the uncontrol ability of natural light and how it changes as the sun moves around.
I started to use white thread which gives a completely different effect, I do find it strange how you can struggle with a concept and you do something simple like changs a colour and it works...

Enrolled in college yesterday not starting until next week.. I cannot wait to start, got lots of ideas.. just need the space to do them.. I am thinking I need to work outside more, going to put a proposal together to see if I can get some outside space on the main campus in Uni.. I got to know the Estates Manger last year with another project I was doing,, so just needs to e-mail him and see how it goes from their...
I have a good day today just feel good got my head clear need to gert these ideas down on paper now.. I to spend a long time thinking how I can move my work on then all of a sudden the light comes.. that happen the last few days now I need too book a space in college again to see if my ideas work etc. I do have too ideas develpoing at the moment...

Been in the studio this week working on ideas to move my work on. I was playing around with just having 8 point on the wall that I can only use with my continous line. When I cut the thread that was holding the hoops in place they fell to the floor. I am excited in this process... I like the unpredictable of were the hoops fall.. When light up the shades cast these extra drawing on the walls...

I wonder if I have been over complicating my thread work, is simple best... I was told once "less is more"

Went to Southport today to have meeting about doing a project on the coastline up that way, it

went well but got lots of forms to fill in.... Why does everything become completed.... I dislike forms find them difficult to do.. My poor husband as to help....

Back in college soon, still got lots too do. You think you got so much time but were does it go..
Went to take my work down in Halifax on Friday.. Which was good. Wish I had time to spend more time up there.. Got nothing on now.. Just college work... I have to get down to my join art project.. It's difficult to get us together as two of us work and we all got commitments... Do need to get down too it thou..
Went to Swansea a few weeks ago to see Mark Walllingler " The Russian Curates" Which was a great exhibition so go and see it...

Got my contact extended to Christmas in M&S so at less I do have job hunt....
Family life not brill which is understandable as we are all still grieving... Great news thiou my Daughter ACE her GCSE... got on the A-level course her wanted to do....
So that's I been up too since my last blog..

I have not done much art since finished working in the studio in college.. We as a family have had very difficult time, My loving Father-in-Law pass away 31st July, He had been very poorly for weeks in hospital. He just got too tired to fight anymore..

Today I have felt like getting back to doing something, just decided to catch up or e-mails etc...

studio space.

I had booked studio space for 2 weeks in college, it was great to have the space to work, and make large work. I'ave enjoyed it so much, it's made me realise how much I miss having a studio. I am going to start looking again of space, or how I could get a shed in my stamp of a garden.

I do find when I am planning for my installations, I have all these great ideas... but I forget them when I get engrost my the space and my work.. I need to make a list of want I am trying to achieve.. This image is a different installation idea, I have always worked in a white space and used black thread, but I like the way the thread seems to be floating in the air.. I also need concern the paint on the walls too. the back wall I used gloss paint that was brushed on which work well too I think. It gives it a different feel.

It's been so good to get in the studio, even thou I doid not get as much as I would have liked done.. I did not get there everyday with work etc.. But it was good to do art....

Airbus

I started working this week in M&S for the summer, so I can carry on with my MA, Been in the Local Newspaper with my Airbus Project, which is great. But I still struggling to get show anywhere else. Still not got around to entrying an Opens or writing them proposal, I have just printed off quite a few forms that I am not too late to enter. I lost my confidences a few weeks ago but I am starting to get it back, just how mean times can I take knock backs? How many NO's can I take.... I got to start looking more at the good times that are happening and not bad....
