Crosby Beach

It is been awhile since I wrote anything, busy working a lot in M&S, Christmas and New Year. Family life takes over sometimes.

I have got a BIG DAY coming on Crosby Beach. I have been planning this for Months. Only a few weeks to go and I am panicking a bit. All the self doudt rising to the surface again.

I have spent a lot of time on this getting permission etc, just need to make sure I get everything right for the day...

I what someone to take photographys and make a time laps video of me creating the installation.

The Beach in Crosby as lot of building rubble, which was put there after World War Two of Sea Defences Liverpool was badly Bomb in the Blitz..

So I want to creat 65 Brick sandcastle using the bricks from the beach, this will respect 65 years of D Day and the lost of peoples homes and work place.. EVERYONES HOMES HIS THERE CASTLE....

Hopefully it will come off..

Installed my artwork at Pandy Mill Gallery, Roger took the day off work to help. We got very wet.. On the way home the sun come out..

I quite please with it may studies the photos see if I can improve the work.

I never used pink twine before, I found it difficult to choose the right colour from this installation and lack of choose too. I do think it works..

On Friday i went to see Gallery own Jan about Art Open she having in November. I went to see if I could do an Installation in the surrounding ground. but Jan other ideas about me doing an Installation right in front of the gallery. I thought I would be going there to sell myself but it was the other way round..

I am so excited but scared as she putting so much faith in me... The Pandy Mill Gallery in a beauitful welsh valley in North Wales

I got a lot of work to do Exhibition 27th November...

College is going well got a do poster presentation this week about my Collabration module. This project taking a mlot of my time too....

Had space in college this week. Working out ideas how I can controlnatural light. How can I get the shadows I like, I have done quite a few installation and the natural light and the blinds cast some greatlight.
Just need to research how I can do this, I do like the uncontrol ability of natural light and how it changes as the sun moves around.
I started to use white thread which gives a completely different effect, I do find it strange how you can struggle with a concept and you do something simple like changs a colour and it works...

Enrolled in college yesterday not starting until next week.. I cannot wait to start, got lots of ideas.. just need the space to do them.. I am thinking I need to work outside more, going to put a proposal together to see if I can get some outside space on the main campus in Uni.. I got to know the Estates Manger last year with another project I was doing,, so just needs to e-mail him and see how it goes from their...
I have a good day today just feel good got my head clear need to gert these ideas down on paper now.. I to spend a long time thinking how I can move my work on then all of a sudden the light comes.. that happen the last few days now I need too book a space in college again to see if my ideas work etc. I do have too ideas develpoing at the moment...

Been in the studio this week working on ideas to move my work on. I was playing around with just having 8 point on the wall that I can only use with my continous line. When I cut the thread that was holding the hoops in place they fell to the floor. I am excited in this process... I like the unpredictable of were the hoops fall.. When light up the shades cast these extra drawing on the walls...

I wonder if I have been over complicating my thread work, is simple best... I was told once "less is more"

Went to Southport today to have meeting about doing a project on the coastline up that way, it

went well but got lots of forms to fill in.... Why does everything become completed.... I dislike forms find them difficult to do.. My poor husband as to help....

Back in college soon, still got lots too do. You think you got so much time but were does it go..
Went to take my work down in Halifax on Friday.. Which was good. Wish I had time to spend more time up there.. Got nothing on now.. Just college work... I have to get down to my join art project.. It's difficult to get us together as two of us work and we all got commitments... Do need to get down too it thou..
Went to Swansea a few weeks ago to see Mark Walllingler " The Russian Curates" Which was a great exhibition so go and see it...

Got my contact extended to Christmas in M&S so at less I do have job hunt....
Family life not brill which is understandable as we are all still grieving... Great news thiou my Daughter ACE her GCSE... got on the A-level course her wanted to do....
So that's I been up too since my last blog..
